Part of the fun of family reunions is being reminded of things forgotten. Here I am stood with a portrait of my mother when she was 15 years old. An odd pose! The painting won a competition for the artist Mick Arnup. The prize got him to Italy for six months circa 1948.
Host of the reunion was Sally Arnup, seen in these photos with her sister Priscilla Harrington and brother Roger Baynton-Williams.
The event was held at Holtby near York. Note those fine gates in the background; they were made by me c1971 and are still standing!
The bottom photo is my mother, Priscilla Harrington, alongside a portrait of herself painted by Mick Arnup.
